Loch Bay is not open for lunch.

The price of the menu is £145.00 per person (£160.00 per person from 1st March 2025). Bookings are for up to 6 people, and children aged 12 and over are welcome. If you book a table, it is yours for the evening.

It is not possible to book directly online, please complete our booking enquiry form and we will get back in touch with you.

To secure a reservation at Loch Bay, prepayment of the menu is required. We operate a 48-hour cancellation policy. The prepayment is fully refundable in the event of cancellation up to 48 hours before the reservation time. In the event of cancellation within 48 hours of the reservation time, the prepayment will be refunded if we are able to re-sell the table.

Due to the nature and specific content of our menu, Loch Bay is not a suitable destination for anyone who can not, or does not, eat all varieties of shellfish and fish. Alternative menus are not available, and all requests for specific dietary requirements must be made before the time of booking confirmation to avoid any disappointment. We do not offer any alternative menus to our ‘Skye Fruits De Mer’.

Casual is fine – Loch Bay is a relaxed environment.

Loch Bay is a fully licensed restaurant with an extensive selection of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks. A ‘Wine Flight’ selected by our Restaurant Manager is also available.

There is a large parking area at the pier in Stein, just beside the restaurant. Several spaces are reserved for Loch Bay diners. This area is not covered or shaded from the sun.

Our postcode is IV55 8GA. From the A850 Dunvegan-to-Portree road, take the minor road heading north on the Waternish peninsula following signs for Stein. The restaurant is situated beside the pier. Taxi companies operate locally but may not be available on short notice – be sure to pre-book.

We do not have rooms at Loch Bay. For catered and self-catering accommodation on the Waternish peninsula you will find many options at the Visit Waternish website.

There is one small step into the building, and the narrowest point of the entrance into the restaurant is 69cm/27 inches wide. The narrowest points of the entrances to our public toilet rooms are 57cm/22.5 inches wide. The toilet rooms do not have assistance railings or bars installed.

We are unable to allow dogs (other than assistance dogs) into the restaurant.

Our Front of House team deals with all enquiries and is available from 3 pm on all days we are open.

The largest group size we can accommodate is 6 people.
